'Rahil' set for premiere: A journey from Qajar to Pahlavi Era

The first season of the historical-adventure series 'Rahil' is set to grace the airwaves soon.

Produced through the joint efforts of Ramin Abbasizadeh and various directing teams, including Masoud Abparvar, the series is now at its final stage, prepared to air on Iran's national television.

Filming for 'Rahil' started about six months ago with many crews recording and shooting. All production team have worked closely under the guidance of Abbasizadeh to ensure a cohesive outcome.

'Rahil' creates an exciting story with events and romance in modern history. The narrative unfolds during the transition from the Qajar era to the emergence of the Pahlavi regime.

The return of Moha from her journey to Karbala intertwines with the awakening of Aslan, the son of the royal court's scribe, entangled in a web of intrigues and conspiracies that shape their destinies into an enduring enigma.

The screenplay for this series, penned by Farhad Naghdali, took over two years to craft. It evolved in tandem with the production process, involving script reviews and revisions.

Rigorous research was conducted during scriptwriting to ensure historical authenticity through credible documentary sources.

A distinguished cast brings the characters to life, including Hamidreza Azarang, Sorayya Qasemi, Andisheh Fouladvand, Nasim Adabi, Houman Barqnavard, Kazem Hazhirazad, Reyhaneh Rezi, Ali Abbasi Zadeh, Maryam Kaviani, Masoumeh Arabi, Hanieh Gholami, Mehrdad Niknam, Mohsen Naghibian, Fathollah Taheri, and the late Hessam Mahmoudi.

With twenty episodes in two seasons, 'Rahil' is set to be broadcast on Iran's Channel 3 soon.

Abbasizadeh's distinguished career as a producer includes a portfolio of audience-favorite series, some of which have been broadcast on iFilm English, such as ‘It Was an Angel’, ‘Shams-ol-Emareh’, ‘A Beautiful Revolution’, ‘Fall of an Angel’, ‘Paridokht’, 'The Young Cop' and 'Conjuration'.
